Master Timeline

This timeline reflects a Fall semester offering with 11 weeks of class - adjust dates as needed for Spring.

• Semester/summer before offering: see Facilitation Logistics below
• Summer: refresh website - see railsdecal.com/semester refresh below
• Optional: send out interest form to obtain mailing list to notify especially interested students when applications open (ex: August 5, 2017)
• Open applications first day of classes (ex: August 23, 2017)
• Close applications Friday the following week (ex: September 1, 2017)
• Make evaluations and notify by no more than a week after closing applications (ex: September 8, 2017)
• First day of class is mid September (ex: September 13, 2017)
• Final Presentations will be the week before RRR week (ex: November 29, 2017)

Enrollment is application based. See master timeline for specific dates.

Facilitation Logistics

NOTE: In future semesters (after Fall 2018), DeCal proposals for SPRING semesters will be due to the EECS Chairs' assistants no later than 2 weeks prior to the COCI deadline. DeCal proposals for FALL semesters will be due no later than 1 week prior to the COCI deadline.

1. Fill out initial details of the Course Proposal Form (found at decal.berkeley.edu)
2. Produce Syllabus & General Timeline (aim for 11-12 class sessions, final presentations should be the week before RRR week)
